Raymond Shooting

On 10/06/11 at approximately 8 PM Raymond PD officers responded to a shots fired call in the area of the 300 Block of Ocean Avenue in Raymond. On arrival officers were able to contact a late 40's male victim and other witnesses to the incident. Officers discovered that a verbal argument between the victim and another 40 year old male escalated. The 40 year old suspect allegedly fired one round from a handgun into one of the tires on the victim's car. The suspect then fled the area.

Officers from the Pacific County Sheriff's Office and South Bend  Police Department assisted with a search of the area. The suspect was taken into custody at approximately 0500 AM on 10/07/11 by the Raymond Police Department. The suspect was booked into Pacific County Jail and charged with Reckless Endangerment.

Chief Spoor said, "I want to thank the Pacific County Sheriff's Office and the South Bend Police Department for their assistance during this incident. All of the officers did an excellent job in what could have been a very bad situation".
